About Us


Established in Teesside in 2009, MAI Solutions Limited offers management accounting and bookkeeping services to sole traders, partnerships and companies throughout the region and further afield.  With staff based at York, Durham and the Tees Valley we are well placed to serve our Yorkshire and North East clients either remotely or at your premises.

Our Managing Director Ruth Pullin says “We’ve grown year on year since setting up the business in the midst of the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression.  I am very proud of what we have achieved together with our clients over the years.  We have assisted our clients in an extremely challenging climate to grow their businesses through being genuinely client focused and listening to their needs”.

We have a varied client base, from contractors requiring bookkeeping and compliance services, to clients outsourcing the whole of their internal accounting function to us.

Ruth Pullin


I have considerable experience as a management accountant initially working within a multi-million pound turnover leisure business only leaving to have my two beautiful children.  I started MAI Solutions with the goal of providing tailored financial management and business advisory services to owner managed businesses.  As the business has grown, I have worked to ensure new team members are experienced and highly skilled with a key client focus.  The past 5 years have been incredibly rewarding and we at MAI value our strong client and professional relationships.  I am very much looking forward to the next 5 years!


Suzanne Bramley

Client Director

Having initially worked in client facing industries I returned to full-time education in my early 20’s securing a degree in Law before successfully completing an MA in European Legal Studies from Leeds University.  I gained considerable experience in a range of finance roles during this time with major international financial institutions.

The opportunity arose to work with Ruth and MAI Solutions in early 2014.  I accepted it immediately as there is a great synergy between what we can both bring to a client business and Ruth shares my proactive approach to financial management.


Deborah Chadderton

Financial Manager

I am AAT qualified with over 15 years experience of working within wide-ranging Finance departments, both within the private and public sector (NHS).   I have worked at all levels, from Credit Control, Purchase Ledger and Financial Ledger to the management/investment of millions of pounds on the stock market for a major Blue Chip company.

I have vast experience of setting and maintaining budgets, and the production of month end reports for Finance Directors, including cashflow forecasts, bank reconciliations, variance analysis and KPI bench-marking. I have particular experience in diagnosing operational and financial weaknesses and identifying options for improvement.
